Rice culture is central to many Asian societies, and Dr. Iso Eikichi played a key role in shaping Taiwan’s rice history. The Iso House Museum in Taipei preserves his legacy as a designated historic site.

Working with the museum, we translated this history into engaging learning materials aligned with the elementary school curriculum, while also inviting children to connect with the physical museum.

Problem

How might we make Taiwan’s rice history and food education engaging for children while encouraging museum visits?

Outcome

I designed a child-centered educational booklet that explores Taiwan’s food and agricultural education through the life and legacy of Dr. Iso.

Final designs
and solutions

Through children’s picture book research and market analysis, I led the narrative design and editorial structure of the booklet. Designed as both an engaging extracurricular read and an educational resource, it also serves as an invitation for children to connect with the physical museum.
