Hello,

I'm Candice Lee

My full name is Chia-Chen Lee, written in Chinese as 李佳蓁 :)

As a UX and product designer, I believe happiness can be intentionally designed—and designing for others is how I define my own. I aspire to create products and interactions that do not yet exist, grounded in empathy, driven by curiosity, and shaped by creativity. I run toward complexity and thrive in ambiguity.

Research & Practice

Beyond Work

I’m currently a Research Assistant at National Taiwan University, studying genAI information behavior. Previously, I conducted research and product design at HTC, GoFreight, and Taiwan’s National Science and Technology Council, and helped develop the world’s first university-level course on menstruation.

Beyond research, I stay engaged in the HCI community through hackathons and self-initiated projects. Travel is my way of staying curious. I explore the world on foot, document it through photography, and make music—playing piano, guitar, violin, and singing as a band vocalist.

My super powers

Empathy is where I begin. Creativity is how I reframe problems. Making is how I bring them to life.
By listening closely, thinking beyond constraints, and building with intention, I design systems that feel human, purposeful, and capable of creating real impact.
